This property has been in the family for nearly 40 years. With council parkland on one side and acreage on the other, it’s the perfect peaceful pocket. The views over the dam are relaxing and the birdsong in the morning is beautiful. Being surrounded by the trees is the perfect return to nature.

This space overlooks the huge dam on the property. It’s tucked back from view of the main house and surrounded by trees so you’ll feel worlds away without having to sacrifice on comfort.

LOCATIONS
Guests are welcome to use the pool and have a wonder down the back. There’s a running creek down the back. Or take a walk around the neighbourhood or over to the park next door. We just ask you stay away from the gated area and other dwellings on the property.
- No WiFi available - Free Potable Water - Charcoal BBQ grill is available - NO PETS OR CHILDREN ALLOWED - No unregistered guests or visitors allowed - All mobile carriers have poor reception in this area - You may gather firewood from fallen branches on the property - Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving the house - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge - No smoking inside, only outside on the far side of the shipping container toward the back. Please do not smoke near the tanks or the swimming pool. Important note: - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property. - Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
Food Scene: - Kenilworth bakery - donuts and pies. - Long yard larder - coffee and breakfast meals. - Owlery - coffee shop with Harry Potter owl theme Sightseeing: - Mount Glorious - there’s a national park for a lovely long walk or lots of swimming holes along the drive up the mountain. - Harry Potter store of requirements - Next to Owlery cafe - - Harry Potter themed store. - Green thumb farmers markets - on every Saturday morning just down the road Shopping and Groceries: - Drakes is the closest grocery store. Parks & Nature: - Lots of parks around Samford! We are located right next door to a council park and there’s the main park in Samford village which gets a lot of attention. Festivals, Arts, & Culture: - Samford has lots of health related events such as yoga, breathwork, choirs. Always a seasonal event in the park such as Christmas in the village, Halloween and Easter events.
