Raintree Farmstay by Tiny Away sits in the quiet town of Sarsfield, just 12 minutes from Bairnsdale and 20 minutes from the popular holiday destination of Paynesville—renowned as the boating capital of the region and ideal for anglers, windsurfers, jetskiers, and water skiers. Nearby attractions also include Mitchell River Tavern, Eagle Point, and Lakes Entrance Beach, just 31 minutes away.

A cozy 190-square-foot tiny home featuring a lofted queen-sized bed and a convertible single bed couch on the ground floor; sleeps up to 3 guests. Enjoy easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our farm stay is on a working property near the Great Alpine Road, so you may hear occasional animal and traffic noise as part of the authentic rural experience.

If you'd like to interact with our animals please let us know. Important note: - No BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects during your stay - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our compost toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.

Overall a good stay, beautiful setting and very peaceful! Good local recommendations for things to do and restaurants were provided. Instructions and communication from our local host could have been better. There were no checkout instructions and although we were told to message them about our arrival they were hard to get ahold of.

Being located in close proximity to many places of attraction and cafes in Lakes Entrance, the Raintree Farmhouse offered us a wonderful experience at close to nature. The host Daniel was super supportive and made sure to meet that all our requirements are met to ensure a comfortable stay.

The family who owns Raintree are lovely, friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the time and effort they took to show us their land and animals and found the tour a highlight. However, we would argue that the description of the stay isn’t entirely accurate or up-to-date. For instance, there isn’t pigs or goats anymore on the property and the property is more akin to a mechanical workshop than a farm for wool or beef. This didn’t bother us, however it should be more accurately reflected in the description. We were most disappointed however by the fact that the compost toilet was full to the brim at the time of our arrival. This caused issues with smell, general hygiene and usage of the bathroom.
