THE SPACE
Under the Velvet Sky 1 by Tiny Away is a beautifully designed tiny house set on a certified organic working orchard in Dagun. Shaded by an incredible canopy of macadamia trees, a striking poinciana, and a seasonal jacaranda, it’s easy to access yet wonderfully secluded — calm, private, and deeply connected to nature.

Explore nearby highlights including the Mary River, the Mary Valley Rattler, Amamoor State Forest, and local horse riding, or simply stay in and soak up the stillness. You may also meet a few gentle locals on the property — sheep, and two friendly horses, Ted and Tim.

This 139-square-foot tiny home features a queen-sized bed for two adults, easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and a bathroom. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’re booking for a group, we also offer one additional tiny house (Under the Velvet Sky 2) available with 24 hours’ notice, ensuring you even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.

- WiFi available - No pets allowed - Free Potable water - Gas BBQ is available - This property is suitable for kids - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - No smoking allowed inside the tiny home, except around the firepit - Mobile reception is good for Telstra; while other providers are weak - Please bring your own food and water as we are a “self-catering accommodation” - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Important note: - BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
Food Scene: - The Wild Vine Imbil – A highly-rated café & restaurant in nearby Imbil with seasonal, locally-inspired dishes and great coffee — excellent for breakfast, lunch or a relaxed meal. - Village Green Cafe – Cozy local café in Amamoor serving coffee, brunch and light bites in a friendly country setting. - Rusty Rails Cafe – Unique historical-style café at the Mary Valley Rattler site in Gympie, great for breakfast or lunch with a local vibe. - Kandanga Pub - offers fabulous pub food with a friendly atmosphere. - Bonus Nearby Spots - Diablo Co – Local distillery in Gilldora with drinks (bring snacks or pair with other stops). - Kevies Muster Bar – Bar in the wider Amamoor Creek area for casual drinks (often with food available nearby). - Tip: The Dagun Growers Market (at Dagun Railway Station) is also a great stop on Saturdays for fresh local produce, snacks, coffee and more — especially if you enjoy casual and local eats. - Amamoor Store, just a quick 4 minute drive, provides the best hamburgers, great pizza's, fuel, and grocery items.
