Only 20 minutes outside one of Tasmania's largest cities, Launceston, is the charming historic town of Longford. Don't let the idea of 'country town' fool you though, Longford is a bustling little town filled with all the amenities you need so you never have to venture into the big smoke. With a boutique grocery, abundant bakeries & cafes, antique stores, a tea shop and so much more, Longford is the perfect getaway for the staycationers & the tourists alike!
After a short drive from town, we arrived at our little home for the night - the Tiny Away Longford! We were immediately welcomed by a flock of hens & two inquisitive sheep. It was chaotic in the best way! Situated in the back corner of the paddock was our charming abode. While you're not too far away from the main house, the tiny house still felt private as we had our own courtyard area with outdoor furniture & the views were beautiful. Wide open blue skies, endless green pasture, grazing cattle & distant mountain range - we were charmed!
Inside the tiny home was all we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. The bed was heavenly, there was a heater to take the chill off the air & the shower felt unbelievably spacious for a tiny home! We enjoyed a delicious cheese platter before making our way into Longford for an afternoon of exploring.
