For two busy professionals like us, finding time to unwind truly can be a challenge. That's why our recent getaway focused on relaxation and rejuvenation. After a scenic drive from North to South, we found ourselves in the picturesque seaside haven of Dunalley. Our agenda? Simply to unwind with books we'd been meaning to read, cozy up by the fire & indulge in board games over a delightful cheese platter with a glass of red wine.
While the town of Dunalley offers many activities, our preference was to take it easy. We did manage a leisurely visit to 'The Lanterns' cafe for beachside coffee, but otherwise, our days were spent exactly as we wanted – in a peaceful retreat at Quirindi Cabin, perfectly positioned to enjoy both relaxation and exploration at our own pace. One of the evenings, we ventured to the Dunalley Hotel, where we enjoyed hearty pub fare and the warmth of a crackling fireplace. A must-try: their irresistible warm almond and apple pie, a fitting end to a memorable meal. During our strolls around town, we even had the pleasure of meeting Neil, a beloved seal who frequents Dunalley's charming canal.
Our weekend in Dunalley at Quirindi Cabin reminded us of the importance of slowing down and savoring life's simple pleasures. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this getaway offers the perfect blend of tranquility and charm.
